Summary: Zoe teaches Cam the finer points of virtual bowling
Zoe introduced Cam to the finer points of virtual bowling. "First, you've got to pick your location," Zoe explained. She pointed to one of the options on the screen. "This is kind of a fun one. Camelot. The lane is a drawbridge, the gutters are moats, and the pins are suits of armor."
Cameron shuddered. "Not for me, thanks. What else ya got?"
Zoe gave him a curious look, but flipped through the choices. "Rock Concert, but the pyrotechnics there can really give you a headache. Oh, how about Fiji? The lane is a sandy beach, the pins are tribal carvings, and your bowling ball looks like a giant coconut."
"Now, that sounds right up my alley," Cam grinned.
Zoe rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but smile as she touched the screen to make their selections. "Are you always this corny?"
"I try my best, but no one can meet a standard that high all the time."
"Here." Zoe tossed Cam a visor and a glove covered in sensors. "Let's see what you've got."
Cam pulled on the glove then slipped the visor over his eyes. Suddenly, he was standing on a strip of soft white sand surrounded by crystal blue waters. A few hundred yards in the distance, a small village of thatched huts stood at the edge of a tropical rainforest. He could hear the birds, smell the saltwater, feel the sun on his shoulders.
His bare shoulders.
Looking down, Cam found his jeans and t-shirt replaced by a pair of brightly-colored surf shorts. Just surf shorts. "Uh, Zoe...?" He turned to find Zoe adjusting the sarong tied over her red bikini. He gestured to his (lack of) attire.
Zoe shrugged nonchalantly. "When in Rome, right?"
